What data is collected if I just navigate through or visit this site?
We collect aggregate information on what pages are viewed by visitors to our web site. This information is used primarily for statistical studies to determine (for instance) the relative popularity of each of our pages, the average number of pages accessed by our visitors, and the average time visitors spend at the site. None of this information is linked back to any individual visitor. The information collected is analyzed only at the aggregate level, kept anonymous, and used only to improve the site.

When you request a "free information package" through our site you will have to identify yourself to us. As a result, the personal information you provided to us will be captured. This information is provided to AARP and its subsidiaries so they can offer quality products and services that may improve the value of your membership. Non-member information is used to solicit memberships. When you receive your information package in the mail you will be given an opportunity to "opt-out" of having your information shared with AARP and its subsidiaries.

Our site uses the most current security features that ensure your information cannot be captured without your consent. We use a technology called "128-bit SSL encryption". SSL stands for "Secure Socket Layer". This technology, together with the 128-bit encryption feature, provides the most advanced security that is currently available.
